The R&D Tax Incentive is one of Australia's most valuable — and most underutilised — programs. VCA helps eligible businesses identify, document, and maximise their claims compliantly.

Overview

Australia's R&D Tax Incentive provides a tax offset of up to 43.5% on eligible R&D expenditure for companies with an aggregated turnover below $20 million — and a non-refundable 38.5% offset for larger entities. For eligible businesses, this represents a significant and recurring cash benefit.

Yet many companies — particularly in manufacturing, technology, food production, mining services, and engineering — either don't know they qualify, or claim far less than they're entitled to because their activities aren't documented in a way that withstands ATO scrutiny.

VCA works with businesses to identify eligible core and supporting R&D activities, build a defensible documentation framework, manage the AusIndustry registration process, and prepare the tax offset claim — maximising your entitlement while maintaining full compliance.
